922A Shoofly St · Santa Fe

Trailhead Design Source

The Trailhead started here. Solange Serquis and Andres Paglayan kept the bones of a 1949 compound on Shoofly Street (its timber trusses, its warehouse scale) and rebuilt it as a place to work, eat and stay.

The ground floor holds Cafecito, a glass-walled café that grew out of the old warehouse like a greenhouse. Upstairs and around the courtyard are the Serquis + Associates studio, a conference room and two apartments that guests have reviewed more than 900 times.

Cafecito

A family-run café in the glass-walled greenhouse at the front of the compound. Argentine, Armenian and Italian roots meet local ingredients: empanadas with chimichurri, Buenos Aires-style coffee, mate and weekend brunch on two garden patios. Open for breakfast and lunch; evenings for special events.
